Veterans Corps
Veterans Corps mobilises veterans' skills and experience to support local communities during civil emergencies. We build local teams of Community Volunteers who can provide practical support when requested by local authorities and authorised partners.
Voluntary participation. Proper coordination. No self-deployment.
Experience ready to serve
Military service ends. The ability to make a difference does not.
Veterans leave the Armed Forces with proven experience of teamwork, leadership, logistics, planning, communication, practical problem-solving and remaining calm under pressure.
Veterans Corps gives willing veterans a clear route to put those abilities to work for the public good. Members can become Community Volunteers, record the skills and qualifications they are prepared to offer, and choose whether to assist when a suitable request is received.
Support is organised through Headquarters and agreed with the responsible local authority or recognised coordinating organisation. Veterans Corps complements public services; it does not replace them.
