Local branches build fellowship, trusted relationships and the community connections behind Veterans Corps civil-emergency capability.

A local home

Local trust is built before it is needed.

A branch begins with veterans meeting regularly: breakfast, a brew, conversation and a dependable reason to connect. Those relationships create the local trust and knowledge that help willing Community Volunteers serve effectively when their community needs support.

Branch Coordinators follow the shared Charter, Membership Rules and standards of conduct while building a group that belongs to its area. Civil-emergency support remains separately authorised and coordinated through Headquarters; branches and members do not self-deploy.

Running a branch is a trusted volunteer role. Ordinarily only one branch is approved per town or city unless Headquarters authorises an exception.

The Branch Coordinator role

Local leadership with clear accountability.

The coordinator creates the welcome, organises regular meetings and protects the character and boundaries of Veterans Corps.

Welcome members and maintain an inclusive branch
Follow the Founding Charter and Membership Rules
Coordinate venues, meetings and local communication
Refer serious conduct or safeguarding concerns to Headquarters
Keep community activity properly authorised and within scope
Use local attendance contributions for the benefit of the branch

Branch Subs

Branch Subs stay with the local branch.

Branch Subs paid by members when attending a branch remain entirely with the local Branch Coordinator. They may be used for refreshments or other costs that benefit that branch.

Branch Subs are not collected by Veterans Corps, are not Veterans Corps income and do not form part of Veterans Corps accounts or records. Any local note of money received or spent is solely for the coordinator's own branch use. Branch Subs are separate from annual membership administered through Membermojo.
